The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”) provides a process for copyright owners who believe that material appearing on the Internet infringes their rights under U.S. copyright law. If you believe in good faith that content on our website infringes your copyright, you (or your authorized agent) may send us a notice requesting that the material be removed or that access to it be disabled.

To be valid, a DMCA notice must include all of the following:

  • A statement that the complaining party has a good‑faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

If you believe a copyright infringement notice was filed against you in error, the DMCA permits you to submit a counter‑notice. Counter‑notices must also meet statutory requirements.
